Nature against law and social conventions
In the first chapter of my book series, Facilitator, I introduce a fundamental premise for the overall story:
If you want to see the true nature of an entity – a person, a corporation, a religion, an ideology or even a nation – you must remove legal restraints along with the demand for reason and accountability.
All you have to do is set that entity free, and it will show you its nature.
It simply cannot help itself.
The definition of nature being a set of distinguishing characteristics of said entity, the ways of thinking, feeling and acting.
Society rests and functions upon man-made institutions. It is therefore important to consider human nature to perceive the strengths and weaknesses as well as the potential and limitations of these institutions and society as a whole.
Male nature
Since the dawn of mankind, man has found his domain and his playground in the surrounding world outside of his tribe.
It is ingrained in male nature to take initiative in logical and calculated steps which plays into either the dark side or light side of his nature.
The nature of a man leads him to create or destroy. He is driven to lead or left to follow, he can be inspired to serve or tempted to oppress.
It is in the nature of the man to sacrifice himself: On the battlefield defending his country, balancing the scaffolding of a high rise, breathing dust in the dark of a coal mine or to save women and children from a burning house, exposing himself to divert danger from others and onto himself.
Sex is as important to a man as attention is to a woman.
Women and society encourages a man’s sacrifice yet will turn to shame or sentence him for his selfish urges if they do not benefit the common interest – and female interests in particular.
The man does not think much about his sacrifice or his hardship. He is not supposed to. He has less capacity for empathy and consideration than a woman, because a man going to war or walking the steel construction of a skyscraper will be inefficient and destructive to moral and the final objective if he starts thinking about the fragility of his life and the danger he is exposed to.
It is in a man´s nature to explore and discover, to focus on the possible gain instead of the possible loss and threat to his life.
His nature serves him as he competes with other males for resources, social status and the most attractive females.
The greatest potential of his nature lies in his desire for exploration and his ability to create from his mind. As he struggles to position himself in his tribe and gain the approval of the opposite sex, he propels the evolution of society and mankind. For this, he needs to put aside general considerations of personal safety if necessary.
In return, he looks for his opposite in a woman, a nature which enhances his own qualities and drives him to facilitate a family and the future generation in society.
Female Nature
The woman cares about what is close to her. Her mind and world view is for the life within and in close proximity of her tribe, taking care of the children and the social well-being of her environment.
For her efforts she seeks validation from her partner as well as the rest of her tribe.
Attention is as important to a woman as sex is to a man.
The nature of a woman leads her to seek or form social networks through emotional support and social chores.
Her power is psychological and emotional to outweigh the physical power of the man.
She possesses more empathy than the man, which she directs towards relatives, children or other women for collaboration and social security. The empathy she aims towards the man gives her an understanding of his utility and potential. She uses her empathy to steer him in the direction best suiting her needs and wants.
Her presence and influence has the potential to cultivate male raw energy into a creating force for the good of society, instead of a path of destructive aggression.
As she has the immediate responsibility for the wellbeing of raising future generations in human society, she is justified by nature to influence her man’s path and efforts to ensure the interests of the family unit and the tribe.
It is a woman´s nature to consider her own interests and protect herself, and shy away from risk.
It is my belief that the woman generally lives her life feeling insecure and unsafe. Paired with an innate urge to seek out resources, she is naturally attracted towards men with qualities such as physical and mental strength, economic resources and social status.
Her need for security speaks to the man´s nature to protect and serves the mutual needs and wants in the foundation of a family.
Before Feminism, social conventions put restraints on the woman’s behavior. However, Feminism has set her free to act out her raw nature and reveal her true intentions.
The benefit of feminism is that men have the opportunity to see the woman reveal her true nature. She cannot help herself.
The woman is attentive to detail and cares little about the overall perspective if it does not regard her or someone close to her.
Her emotional being finds its natural ground when it fluctuates and since emotions are ever changing, everything in the woman’s world is therefore relative.
The nature of a corporation
The nature of a corporation largely runs on male nature, the drive to refine a material, produce, market and sell it, find new markets and compete in a free market.
The history of the modern corporation is one built on the need for human cooperation to develop society through specific tasks such as financing rail roads or building bridges.
By law, the modern corporation has cut ties with the past personal responsibility of management and shareholders through previous centuries.
According to Law Professor and author, Joel Bakan, the corporation model has been legally formed to mirror that of a psychopath, with the corporation possessing the listed pathological traits.
- Callous unconcern for the feelings of others
- Incapacity to maintain enduring relationships
- Reckless disregard for the safety of others
- Deceitfulness: repeated lying and conning others for profit
- Incapacity to experience guilt
- Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors
Today the corporation is self-serving, looking at everything outside of the corporate environment as externalities which the corporation is not responsible for. This includes the human need for clean water, clean air and the economic and socio-economic well-being of the community from which it draws raw materials electricity, heat, water, labor and customers.
The corporation model is not designed to care for the world it is dependent upon.
The ways of the corporation is an image of human nature and the way human nature deals with the abstract of the outside society when presented in numbers and statistics on a piece of paper in the boardroom, leaving out the human face and social relations involved.
It makes corporate nature (based on human nature) prone to disregard social conventions and personal responsibility with the sole priority of immediate profit.
The modern corporation is free to reveal its nature through capitalism and free markets with a minimal amount of regulations.
The nature of a nation
Since a nation is an image of the drive of human nature civilized by human vision and cultural ideals, it sways between displaying pure masculine nature (capitalism and inequality) and pure female nature (communism and equality).
Nations, as cultural institutions, rests upon human nature, culture, religion and social environment. It will be pulled towards the male preference for free markets and personal freedom or towards the female need for security and resources through equality.
Media depicts how our intellectual capacity, our morals and our social contracts in society, which suppress human nature, are broken every day, every hour, every minute through lies, fraud, theft, violence and murder. Human virtues and ideals are in constant struggle with human nature.
Conclusion
Freedom from legal and social responsibility, and the power to do what you want – not what you need to do, is corruptive.
The examples of corruption of male power and the following consequences are self-evident throughout world history. However, we have yet to witnesse the consequences of corrupted female power, since women as a collective have not held power in society in a form that equals that of men.
Perhaps feminism will illuminate for us how such a scenario will play out.
With the growing feminine influence on society, the public mindset will shift towards relations and collectivist ideals.
Since the woman’s nature fluctuates to adapt to whatever environment she may be placed in, her world view and opinions are also fluctuating to fit her personal interests.
This makes the woman much more viable than the man, as she is able to adapt to changes in her living conditions.
However, it also makes her immediately unable to consistency in forming and applying opinions and principles of ethical and moral dimensions – which makes her unfit to found and govern a society, since a society needs pillars of solid principles to sustain its existence and development.
A corrupted man will destroy his environment with physical aggression. Yet its identity will be largely intact and it can be rebuilt.
A corrupted woman will dissolve her environment and its identity in absolute relativity through her emotions. She will either change it herself or let other elements in to initiate the process. Whatever will be formed from unhinged matter will have a reshaped identity.
If you want to see the true nature of an entity, all you have to do is set that entity free, and it will show you its nature.
It simply cannot help itself.
